Wine Producers from Italy’s Puglia Region

The flagship red grape of the Puglia region is Primitivo, a distant cousin of California’s Zinfandel grape. The wines made with Primitivo are luscious, heavy and definitely “food wines”. Most wines produced here are table wines, only a small percent of the production are higher-quality wines.
